What i am doing today!!!
Hi!!!!! I am Katherine and I am 9!!! I go to Cornelia School in Edina, Minnesota. Today In the morning we had a two hour delay so we started at school at 11:00. Is today different?
I am sitting in a computer lab with 18 second graders. This is the second time that I am adding to this blog. The first time I did a class post with a first grade class. Now I am doing my own post as the children write about Leap Day. They prepped yesterday so that they would have something to write. We started by talking about blogs and looking at our school blog. I’m so happy that I had this opportunity to introduce blogs to the class with a real opportunity for the students to publish. In our school, we thing that it is so important for students to understand online publishing and participate in it.

Today I have History, ICT, Design And Technology, PSHE and German. In HIstory we are looking at the slave trade. In ICT we are doing BTEC. In Design and Technology we are making torches. In PSHE we are looking at relationships and in German we are learning how to say different items of clothing in German.

If I had an extra day.
I would like to first of all go snow-tubing then go skiing for the first time. I would like to have a dog, and I would like to play football with all my friends then play rugby with them as well. I would also want to go to Florida and go on all the rollar coasters. I would also want to have lots of money and to buy a big house that has a swimming pool in it. I would like to own a villa in every country with my own servents. Summary
Attended a meeting this afternoon that was very frustrating. It was for Primary ICT Co-ordinators and too much of the meeting was given over to commercial suppliers offering their products. I’d have been happy with one at the start of the meeting and then had the time to get down to the nitty gritty of the day job and its issues. Ah well.
Had a dilemma over taking an afternoon’s work and missing a spot of grandson sitting, or raking in a few quid. Took the advice of my lovely daughter. I can see grandson at a whim, work less so. Friday pm with Y4 it is.
Got an email from the owner of a gite in France telling me that they’d taken a booking when I thought I’d had 7 days to confirm as I’d requested a booking form…. but I didn’t specify a reserve on the dates when I requested said form. Misunderstanding = several hours more web searching. Grrr.
Thought about my brother, who got married on Feb 29th 20 years ago. So is that his 20th or 5th he’s celebrating?
Another evening passes without me using the Wii EA Sports Active Fit. Good intentions and all that.
And so to bed!

Today in Y4 at Green Park
Y4 had a very busy day today. It started at 8.50 this morning when the children came tumbling in. Some children work on Numeracy via I Am Learning while the rest work and discuss Numeracy problems. After that “Bill’s New Frock” was discussed and the children wrote the start of a version of “Gill’s New Trousers”.
Playtime followed, and I was on playground duty. It was a little different today because Sadie pinched my whistle so that I couldn’t blow for the end of playtime!
Chunking was the order of the day for Numeracy and although it can be a bit tricky Y4 were pretty successful.
Lunchtime came and went and although there was an incident or two to do with football (isn’t there always?) and then students from Deyes High School came to rehearse with Y4 for their upcoming dance performance.
Before all the children went home there was an assembly.
It was perhaps the loveliest day for weather this year in our small town just outside Liverpool but not as good a day as my visit to Wembley on Sunday to watch Liverpool win the Carling Cup Final.
One of our pupils became very famous at Wembley. He appeared on TV and has since had over one and a half million hits on Youtube http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/video-that-made-this-boy-famous

awesome today:)
Well today im in school doing w.e. teachers tell me to do! well im a little sad that it’s raining because we cant go outside and hang out in the playground. Today I have to stay afterschool even though the teacher who teaches us doesnt do much and yells at us, just for talking or be loud. Even tough it’s boring i have to goooo!
