Every forty eight weeks
The second month of the year
We find an extra day
We didn’t know was here

It hides itself inbetween
Two months we have each year
And jumps out every now and then
But there’s nothing for us to fear

Some people have their birthday today
A very rare event
Keeps their birthday presents cheap
Not too many gifts are sent!

But I bet they feel so happy
When they get their special day
I like to think they wouldn’t choose
To have it any other way
