If i had an extra day in the year. I would go back in time to when my granddad was young and tell him not to smoke . so he would still be hear to see my 11th birthday.

Today!!
Hi, I’m 38 and a Deputy Head teacher in Surrey. I’ve had a busy day at work supporting colleagues, teaching children (yr2, art today) and lots of organising. I really love my job and couldn’t think of another profession I would gain so much from. I have a great supportive family, so was able to come home to dinner cooking and a huge cuddle from my 9 year old son. We just played WII Party and I won the board game – Hooray!!!

I’ve been dreading this day for weeks!
I have spent the last few weeks in dread of the arrival of this day, 29th February, 2012. At the age of 37, I have been to have my first ever filling at the dentist’s this afternoon. My dad tells me that I must have inherited his hard enamel……..
The numbness has now worn off, I’ve eaten my next meal (sumptuously soft shepherds pie, just to be on the safe side) and I’m about to brave having a (not too hot) cup of tea.

Never forgotten…
Today, 16 years ago, I lost someone very special, someone who meant the world to me and never got to see or share my future. She would have loved my family and especially her wonderful Great-Grandson.
