Clontuskert NS

Hello!!! I am from Clontuskert National School in Ireland. We are a small school in the countryside. There are only 40 pupils in our school. There are 2 classrooms.
We are involved in many projects but my favourite is the First Lego League. This is a project about technology and food. Our project is about meat, meat production and preservation. We were looking at meat and we found out about nitrates. Nitrates are preservatives injected into meat to help it to stay fresh. But the problem comes when you cook the meat. The nitrates turn into nitrosium which can be harmful to you. We tried ringing shops to ask them to promote fruit and vegetables. Fruit and vegetables have polyphenols in them fight against illness.
But there is another side to it : technology. We had to build a robot and program the robot to do tasks. We had to go to Dublin for the Crest Science Awards after the FLL competition and we had explained our project to the judges. With the robot we had to do as many tasks as we could in three minutes. We came 21st, but we were one of only 4 primary schools in the competition. We hope to do more projects in the future. To see our other projects read our blog at www.clontuskert.scoilnet.ie.

Nomadic Learning and Teaching

Today I write about the good, bad, beautiful and ugly things about being a nomadic (substitute) teacher

1. Developing the ability to think on my feet
2. Opening my mind to new ideas
3. Getting to see my county under many different guises/ethos’s/frameworks
4. The sinking feeling going to bed without work the next day
5. The elation of being booked for a days work…a weeks work…a months work…
6. Frantically making my lunch
7. Trying to locate a new school while eating my breakfast in the car
8. Discovering something new about my teaching abilities
9. Seeing a lesson idea come to life
10. Seeing a lesson idea fall flat on its face
11. Getting a call back from a school – SCORE!
12. The trepidation of trying to call a school via text-a-sub* before someone else
13. Leaving a school knowing that we, as a class, had a great day
14. Leaving the class wondering where it all went wrong
15. Connecting to the world via my teaching
16. Volunteering at home and abroad as a teacher
17. A welcoming staff room
18. Friday evening: driving home, parking and chilling out ready to prepare for another week
19. The mystery – Will I work? Will I not? (positive and negative)
20. The paycheck!
21. Seeing my diary fill up!
22. Enjoying the mid-term/Easter break because I too have been working
23. Having a child in your class tell you that they enjoyed your lesson
24. Having a teacher asking you about a lesson you did with their class
25. Making good friends with staff members even though you now work somewhere else
26. The support and advice I get from other teachers
27. The support and advice I can give to other teachers – esp subs!
28. Lunchtime!
29. Making a contribution to the world, as a learner and teacher

Posters

Today February 29th and we learned lots of interesting facts about this special day. We divided our class into 5 groups and we each researched different topics. They were: The history of February 29th, Famous people born on the 29th of February, ways of making 29 in maths, 29 ways to improve the world and 29 words to describe Ireland. Each group designed a poster containing the facts on their chosen topic. We then displayed them in our classroom. We had a great day and we are glad we did so much it’s a shame this day is only once every 4 years. We would love to keep blogging but it’s nearly home time.

About me

Clontuskert : Clontuskert is a small parish near Ballinasloe in Co. Galway, Ireland. Clontuskert is a very special place. On its own Clontuskert has 204 ringforts. Ringforts were built in early Christian times. They were big mounds of clay with little huts on them.
The Grand Canal : The Grand Canal comes through Clontuskert. It opened in 1828. It took eleven years to complete. People transported Guinness on barges from Dublin to Ballinasloe harbour. The Canal ran along in beside the Suckriver in Lismany.
Clontuskert National School : The first school in Clontuskert was built in 1837. It lasted one hundred and twenty one years until it was time to build a new school. The new school was opened in 1958. Today there are forty students in the school.

Abou us

Clontuskert National School is based in the country side outside Ballinasloe with 42 students.
There are 7 teachers in the school and a secretary. My teacher’s name is Mrs. Murray, the principal. There are 2 halves built, in our school, the old and the new one. The old one was built in 1956. The new half was built in 1999. Our school has seven different rooms including the hall. The two main ones are the junior room which has junior infants to second class and the senior room which has third class to sixth class. We also have a maths room and two resource rooms. We do many science projects ( which includes on 4 primary science schools awards ) which we won we also won 2 heritage awards. One of the other amazing things about Clontuskert is the ringforts. There are over 200 ringforts of then in the parish and we bare starting another project about then soon. There is also a church in the parish : Fr. Finneran is our parish priest. Clontuskert NS is also known for spikeball, winning an All Ireland in 2010 and for the 4th time in a row this year we won the county final.
In Crossconnell there is an old school which opened in 1886 and closed in 1956. By the way Crossconnell is an old road. There is also a pitch in Clontuskert which is at the side of the church. That’s only some of the facts about our great parish.

Yo!
Hi my name is Buzzer and I’m buzzing with excitement because it’s February 29th which is it’s World’s Biggest Blogging Project Day.
Anyway back to reality. I am 12 years old and like any 12 year old boy I love sport especially playing soccer. I always play soccer when I get a chance to. I support Chelsea FC and my favourite player is Ramires. I also love listening to music especially rap. My favourite rappers are Rizzle Kicks, Tinie Tempah, B.O.B, Jay-Z and Professor Green.

I go to Clontuskert NS which is a great school. The school does so many amazing projects. Last year we did a project which was called “Keep On Track”, where we learned how old steamed trains would work and how new trains work. Our school does a lot of LEGO projects. Last year was our first year to enter the First Lego League. We also entered it this year and it was great fun. We also had to have a project for FLL and we decided we would do a project about Nitrates. The name of our project was “What’s the beef with your meat?” Our school also have a blog which is : www.clontuskert.scoilnet.ie

On our blog you will find out everything that is going on in our school such as all the school projects, activities, sport and much more. I think Clontuskert is the best school you could possibly go to.

Diary Entry For the 29th of February 2024
In the year 2024, there will be no school books, as everything will be on an IPAD. We wouldn’t have to worry about carrying a big load of books in our school bag, all we would have to carry is a small Ipad. There would be no more writing long essays by hand, just type it out on the Ipad, and best of all you would have spell-check!
Perhaps we could be going on holidays in Space and staying in a really cool resort with a pool. I wonder what the weather would be like?
I hope there would be new PlayStation that if you pressed a button on your remote YOU would go into the game.
Imagine playing with the professional footballers on Fifa 24 and riding in cool cars in Just Cause 5.
Maybe my Red Mercedes Benz special edition with auto drive would be parked outside my Big Villa in Barcelona.
A BOY CAN DREAM.

About us.

Hi! I go to school in St. Augustine’s NS which is just outside Ballinasloe in Galway. There are 40 students in our school.
We do a lot of Lego projects and this year we entered in the First Lego League, which is all about food. You have to build a robot and program it to do different tasks. We finished 21st.
We also live very close to an abbey. It was built around 1180. We have an heritage group and a book on its history, it’s called The Parish of Clontuskert – Glimpses into its past. Our weather is nearly always wet. We play hurling, football, gaelic, tag-rugby and we swim. Our school jersey is yellow with green stripes.
I live right beside the school. I go across a stile to school. My favourite subject is Science. My favourite sport is horse-riding. I really looking forward to our “WORLD’S BIGGEST BLOGGING PROJECT”. I hope loads of people will go online and look at our blog : www.Clontuskert.scoilnet.ie

About our school.

OH, what a day there will be in Clontuskert N.S. on Feb.29th! I’m Bobbles and I am a 6th Class student in St. Augustine’s N.S. Clontuskert.
All the students are very excited about the “Feb.29th” Project. I would like to say this on behalf of all the students and members of staff in Clontuskert. Our school does many projects about many different topics, from “Keep On Track”, a Train Project, to the FIRST LEGO League with a “Me” of food factor. We also do many activities in the classroom, such as reading novels that are linked to one of our projects, for example; we are planning to make a ringforts film to show people that we learned about ringforts. We chose ringforts because our parish has 204 ringforts! The link to it was a novel called “The Druids Tune”, which is set in the time of the ringforts. Everyone enjoyed the book and it is encouraging the pupils to read it and I myself love reading the novel.
With all of our projects and activities are encouraging people to read or take interest in; art, music, drama and science. The school is great for giving the pupils a bright idea of their future.

Take a Leap!

In today’s class, we are writing about times in our lives when we have ‘taken a leap’ or a chance that paid off. There are some interesting stories emerging, from tales of love to tales of regret. Our favourite so far is the boy who leapt upon the chance to ask a girl out. She said yes!

FIRST LEGO League in Clontuskert

But there is another side to it. It is technology.

Hi my name is Lee. I am 11 years old and I live in Carlow. I am in 5th class.
A few weeks ago I bought a new bicycle off Ebay and I told it would be here on a Monday. When Monday came I ws sitting in the window waiting for it to arrive, but it never came. When Tuesday came, it still hadn’t arrived. On Wednesday I came home from school and my new bicycle was sitting in the sitting room.
I was so excited to go on it! And now sadly it has a flat tyre. :(

I’m blogging and so are my pupils!

The room I’m sitting in with my pupils in Craggagh National School, Co Mayo, Ireland was built in 1884…..a leap year! I wonder what went on in this room on February 29th 1884?

Well, for a start, the student population was about 3 times what it is today. The average family size has dropped significantly over the past 128 years. Also, in 1884, boys and girls were kept separate, separate teachers, separate classes and separate playground.

The photocopier is working very hard beside me here and there are 10 laptops/PCs buzzing with bloggers. How would someone from 1884 interpret that sentence?!

The concept of using a “slate” in school has changed dramatically since then too! Children in 1884 used white chalk to write on slates, today’s child sees slates in a very different way!

I was told once that children will not remember everything you teach them but they’ll remember “how” you taught them.

In future leap years, I hope my pupils will remember Feb 29th, 2012 fondly!

My favourite day

My favourite day from all the week is Friday. The main reason why I like this day so much is because Friday is the last of school this gives you a feeling of excitement of not having to go to the school the next day. I also like this day because you don’t have to go home and start your homework on that day. You can leave it till Saturday or Sunday to do it. Friday is also a very lucky day for me all my work get gone without any obstacle on my way.

I love rugby

Hi I’m Sam. I like to play rugby because I want become a professional rugby player and play proper rugby when I’m older. When I was six years old I was watching television then I was called into the kitchen by my Mam and Dad. They said I could take up a sport it was either Rugby, Gaelic or Hurling? I knew nothing about Gaelic or Hurling. I saw my Dad watching rugby a lot on the television and that’s why I picked rugby. I have being playing rugby for five years and I started it at six years old and I’m eleven now. My Mam and Dad play rugby aswell. I met a few Ireland players and I was very excited.

A day of memories and mixed emotion

It is 15:50 hours on the 29th of February 2012 and already I have received farewell emails from 4 of my soon-to-be former colleagues who have opted for the Irish public service early retirement scheme. They will have had 141 years of primary school teaching experience between them. It is difficult nowadays, to imagine the bare bones appearance of classrooms 40 years. No maps to speak of, a record player and if you were lucky a reel to reel tape recorder which was shared by the entire school. The nuns in the girls’ school had a 16mm projector which they used for fund raising – no videos or YouTube back then. Art and Crafts was been introduced but it was difficult to use paint and jars of water on the old slopping desks. Some teachers just left the new curriculum to the “young ones” and never embraced the change. Of course nibbed pens and ink wells were still in use but a court case soon put an end to them in the late 70s. Corporal Punishment was stiil in use and you were viewed as soft by the staff and pupils if you did not use it. I was a member of the Irish branch of STOPP – I think it stood for the Society of Teachers Opposed to Physical Punishment. The department of education banned it in 1982. One teacher I know of, retired early when the ban was eventually passed into law in the mid 90s.
Together they would have gone through various sensory modalities of teaching and learning such as the nylon board with sandpaper backed paper figurines, using a shared slide projector and filmstrips and manhandling an awkward 28 inch black and white television from classroom to classroom. In my first school’s case the TV was confined to senior classes due to its weight and an insurmountable flight of stairs.
For many of my colleagues in their late 50s and early 60s the digital classroom was an unnecessary imposition on an already overburdened curriculum.
I, on the otherhand, am trying to get back to work after a 6 months absence due to back trouble. Bring on the interactive whiteboards, online activities, eTwinning, Skyping and of course digitally assisted creativity. There is life in the old dog yet!

Good luck and best wishes to everyone in the public service who availed of the early retirement option today. You served your country well. Let’s hope there is enough in the kitty to meet all your dreams.

Taking time away from other things to say “Hello”

February 29th, eh?

Hm… Nothing special about today for me. It was a normal enough day. That’s kind of nice, though. Plus, it was the start of a short week at work! (I had Monday and yesterday off, so I was refreshed going back to work today :D ).

Other than that? Nah, nothing. In saying that, as soon as I’ve this finished, I’ve a mind to do some writing in a novel I’m trying to finish. I’m only on the first draft, but it’s taking forever!

There are many things I could rant about, could discuss, whatever. But I won’t. Instead, I’ll just say: Live life. Enjoy every experience. Store everything you hear, see and feel away somewhere. You never know when it might come in useful.

Peace out!
^_^

Student Life

Today was the day that I propsed to my boyfriend!……………..haha just kidding, I don’t even have a boyfriend.

I am a media student studying for an MA in TV an Radio production, so being a student, my day was pretty boring and average. One thing that crosses my mind most days, including today, is the fact that my generation’s future is very uncertain.

It is scary to think that even after studying for four years to obtain a degree, at the end of the day it is worth nothing if there are no jobs. It is even scarier for media students because media is one of the hardest industries to get in to even at the best of economic times.

But people don’t realise that the world probably wouldn’t even be able to function if the media didn’t exist. Media students are vital to the industry but we are faced with an uncertain and instable future. I am the type of person who likes to know what I will be doing but when I think ahead to this day in five years time, I couldn’t even give a guess of what I will be doing.

I have settled with the fact that I could be spending a lot of time unemployed or in a job that I don’t love, but eventually I hope, it will be worth it and I will end up where I want to be.

That crossed my mind today…and that was probably as exciting as my day got.

Mr. O’Donovan Retires

Our teacher remembers you when you were a very young teacher starting your first job teaching in Scoil Lorcain an all-boys school in Kilbarrack. At the time there were over two thousand children in the parish of Kilbarrack-Foxfield and almost one thousand of them attended Scoil Lorcain. At that time Kilbarrack Foxfield was a newly created suburb on the perimeter of the city. Newly arrived local boys were called “culchies” when they went back to visit their old friends in the city centre.

At that time It was normal for teachers to have up to forty five children in their classes at this time. You might wonder how they even fitted in the classroom but then the tables were much smaller with up to six pupils sitting around a two trapezoidal shaped tables. Recently a pupil in my class complained that she didn’t have enough space at her table. She had the space of three pupils back then. The forty five boys from Mr.O’Donovan’s first class are scattered around the world although some now visit Scoil Eoin as grandfathers of our current students.

As a young boy sitting in his primary school in Co.Cork Mr.O’Donovan could scarcely have imagine some of the new inventions that have been developed in recent years and have been introduced into the school since he started teaching..Items such as the spirit duplicator, reel to reel tape recorder and BBC commadore Computer have been superseded by later inventions. In this era of scanning and instant photocopying it is hard to imagine that once handouts were manually printed using a Gestetner. In recent years the advent of the Interactive whiteboard and the Internet were beyond the wildest dreams of Mr.O’Donovan when as a young boy he wrote stories fin his primary school about how he imagined the future.

Over the years hundreds of children have passed through your classes and benefited from your knowledge and expertise. You contributed in many ways to the life of the school sharing your expertise and knowledge of many aspects of the curriculum, Gaeilge, mathematics, computers and science. All of these activities and contributions had the stamp of a teacher who was totally dedicated to his work and had the admirable and conscientious sense of duty always putting the welfare of this students first.
He was the teacher who purchased organised and catalogued many of the books that are currently in the library. We hope that when he returns on a visit we’ll have it in the same condition as he has left it.

Mr.O’Donovan could turn his hand to many things training young footballers in Naomh Barrog, making movies, assisting in the garden club and even demonstrating his knitting skills to members of the Knitting club.

Today a weight has been lifted off your shoulders. You are now free as a bird ready to fly away on many new adventures. We wish you good health and happiness in the years ahead and hope that you will have the opportunity to explore many new areas of the world.
Go n-eiri an bothar leat is an old Irish saying wishing you good luck on the road of life.
Míle buíochas Thanks a million.

Shakey ass walk

Right so I’m doing a blog so I’ll write about something that I find interesting all though lots of people won’t. The thing I’m talking about is athletics. I race-walk. Yes it’s that weird walk that involves shaking your hips and at my school has become named “The shakey ass walk.” I live in Mayo, in Ireland. (and no it’s not all sheep, cows and tractors) Infact there are about ten of us in the county who compete at a national level, to be honest there are only really ten of us who racewalk in the county. Surprisingly only one person race-walks from Dublin our capital county where a quarter of our population live! Which proves how much better it is to live in the countryside.

As much as it tires me to get up ridiculously early every morning to go training I can see myself getting better and that’s one of the best things about doing sport. It might seem serious but we are the biggest bunch of insane, fun-loving people ever! ☺ Some of my best friends do race-walking and I kept in contact with practically everyone even if they live on the other side of the country.

I think this is the best sport I could have ever got invovled in because I’ve got to go to England twice and have won several medals at all-Irelnd competitions. We go to different places in Ireland during the year to train and have “the craic.”(it’s Irish slang for fun not a drug) We could end up staying up all night, talking to lost drunks or guzzling two litre bottles of coke but those are the moments that make every trip memorable!

Mr.Bloggers

29th of Febuary . A day when women propose to men . Our english teacher tells us that for todays lesson we will right a blog on this website.
Why? we ask . But we do not refuse , because lets face it , sitting in the computer room typing on the brand new apple computers is alot more fun then sitting in the cramped english room discussing the techniques in the poem Timothy Winters.
WRITERS BLOCK.
… awks

However , not as awkward as when our married english teacher totally has a crush on the man who made this website.
You have a fan here in Ireland .
Chuckle , chuckle

Working in Education

I’ve been in some sort of a school for most of my life. I think I have almost avoided going out into the “Big Bad World” too by staying “inside” education. I’ve gone from Primary to Post Primary, to a couple of Colleges as a student and then into a job as a teacher.

Then, I got a job in the NCTE in Ireland, where I work in teaching teachers about bringing ICT into their classrooms. I’m still a teacher though, so the “Big Bad World” has got closer, but is still an arm’s length away (ish).

I’ve always enjoyed teaching, whether it the students were kids or adults. It’s the buzz of the interaction, the development of ideas (new to me or them) that has kept it fresh for me.

So, the “Big Bad World” will just have to wait a little longer I guess.

My 2nd ever blog post!

Long time iPhone addict, recent twitter convert. Novice blogger.

I spent my whole day teaching. I was teaching primary school children during the day and adults in the evening. I wish someone would teach me some time management skills!

Perhaps taking up blogging is not the way to go?! I hear it can be quite the time drain (especially all those hours lost by ‘researching’ other blogs!).

At least we get this extra day once every four years to claw back all our wasted hours!

Happy February 29th! I hope you made the most of it!

Teaching with Images

Today I had a group of first year ITE students for a seminar on ‘teaching with images’. We explored how powerful images can be as a teaching resource, how they are open to multiple interpretations, and some approaches to teaching with images. We also looked at where to source images and some different media to present them, including how images can be used to make posters using the really great Blockposters site: http://www.blockposters.com

Can it not be a weekend add-on

I was ill all day, and have been for the past week with Flu. It would be much better for me if we got an extra day in the middle of the summer, that was also and extension to the weekend.

Might I suggest the week as follows : Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Friday, Friday (2), Saturday, Sunday… See what I did? Or alternatively, and more seriously, we should use the day to do something epic and good willed. Perhaps everyone who is working, goes to work as normal, but donates their whole days pay to a charity of their choice..

Just a little idea before I drift off to the land of nod..

Ar scoil inniu (At school today)

This leap year marks our final year in Primary school. We are in 6th class (Age 11/12 yrs). This week in our school we are hosting ‘Literacy Week’. The emphasis throughout the school is on reading, writing and oral language skills. Our class are writing short stories for the senior infants class (Age 5/6 yrs).
Also this is Engineering week in Ireland and as part of that we are visiting Honeywell engineering in Waterford city tomorrow. They design and manufacture boosters for car engines.
Today we are taking part in a ‘Sticks & Stones’ anti-bullying drama workshop.
Our interests outside school include hurling, soccer, rugby, tennis and athletics. Some of us also like gaming, going to the cinema and watching TV. Our favourite programmes are South Park, Family Guy and Mrs. Browns Boys.
Our favourite music is Coldplay, Eminem, The Rubberbandits, Rizzle kicks, Flo Rida and Bob Marley.
Our favourite teams are Waterford hurlers, Munster rugby, Irish rugby team, Man Utd., Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham.
We are in Miss Aylward’s 6th class and in September 2012 we are starting in De La Salle secondary school.
Is áit álainn é Port Láirge. Tabhair cuairt orainn! (Waterford is a beautiful place. Come visit us!)
Slán anois.

29th February teacher in Dublin

Started the day talking to my form about the extra day in the year. they were most upset for those whose real birthdays only come once every four years. I was in class all morning. I had meetings with my colleagues, we discussed Literacy and Numeracy. Spent the afternoon preparing the library for World Book Day tomorrow, we are having a Book Fair and a Reading Assembly – students and teachers will read a passage from their favourite books. This evening I gave a course for Home Economics colleagues, we explored ways of improving our students’ literacy and numeracy skills while they are enjoying learning Home Economics. Now home having avoided the supporters form the Ireland v Czech Republic football match and the traffic chaos that ensues. All in all a very busy extra day in the year.

An average day, no proposals

Today was an average day for me as the headteacher of a primary school. Meetings followed by more meetings. However, our school is being decorated by some of our children and teachers with amazing window paintings and they have really brightened the place up. After school I went to the gym, which always puts me in good humour even when I don’t look forward to going. Overall, an average day!

The rules for accepting a Liebster Blog Award are
1. Thank the person who gave you the award
2. Link back to their blog

To learn Another Day

Today I woke early not knowing if I had a job to go to. I dusted off my laptop and begane to edit my children’s book. My phone Zappa to life and I know; today I will be teaching. The call was from a school an hours drive away,so I waist no time and grab my iPad and jump into the batmobile.

I taught senior infants today, we covered what their usual class teacher had laid out and when there was time leftover I showed them a prezie presentation with fact and pictures abut Feb 29, by connecting my iPad to the projector.

After a quick art lesson I snapped some pictures and showed them on the projector. They rally love their work being on the IWB.

And now? Well my day as a substitute teacher is over and so I am heading back to edit. You see that’s the thing about being a teacher, always learning, sharing, re-learning and re-sharing.

Interdependence

Today I taught a lesson on Interdependence and we explored all the things that connect us to the rest of the world. Our books came from Ireland, some of our pencil cases came from Korea, our pens from France, we had some lip gloss made in Spain, school bags made in China, highlighters made in Japan. The list could go on and on (that’s their homework – to add to the list of connections!)
Exploring all these things made us realise how much we are connected to the rest of the world and really how small the world is.
Then I told my students about the Feb29th.net project. If they add their stories tonight to the blog they will be connecting even more to the world around them!
Great teaching and learning opportunities arise all the time.

A Leap of Faith on Leap Day

On this bonus day of my life I have made a time-capsule tin to bury in the garden. I will dig it up in 4 years time and see what happened now, and what has happened in between. Then I shall bury a new one! Why don’t you bury a time-capsule tin too.

Social media skills class

We’re finding out about social media – this week it’s LinkedIn, websites, Pinterest… We’re also finding out about information overload from Clay Shirky and the importance of responding to facebook followers. And we’d like to know why Enda Kenny is not paying us for an extra day…?

To see our other projects read our blog at www.clontuskert.scoilnet.ie.

leap year

A leap year only comes once every four years on the 29th of February.
If your birthday falls on the 29th of february, you will be 1 for every 4 years. But people would just celebrate it on the 28th of February or the 1st of March.

About our school.

Hey what are you doing today? Its the 29th of February of course! Hello I’m student from St. Augustine N.S in Clontuskert. I am here to tell you about our school and as you see, we have a blog. If we go somewhere we would put it on the blog with some pictures. This year the 6th class went to represent the school at the “First Lego League”, in January and it was a good day too. We also like to do a lot of sports like volleyball, hurling, soccer and others too. To see more go on to our blog; www.clontuskert.schoolnet.ie.

Teaching Excellence

I’m at work. The deadline for teaching award nominations was on Friday, and my job today is to contact all of the 43 wonderful nominees to let them know how much they are appreciated. It’s a tedious task, but wonderful at the same time. I’m particularly happy that so many students took the time to make a nomination.

…strugling with installation

I am struggling to install Moodle site for one of teaching projects I am involved in, having huge difficulties to pass “Dataroot directory is not secured” error message as hosting option does not give me a flexibility of using settings as I would like to use… spend all morning on that, trying many different options, installing from root directory, sub-folder, creating .htaccess file – no luck. Now I’m going for a lunch break treat myself for all that frustrating morning errors with a good meal! task for afternoon – contact hosting company to make the installation happen! wish me luck guys! :)

My dog Bailey

Every day my dog, called Bailey, always gets out on the street. When you go out to get her and get closer to her she always flys off like a bullet. But after a while she gets tired and just comes back in. :)

I love rugby

My favourite sport is rugby. I love rugby because it is so fun and you get to tackle people and you get tackled too. I love when it’s wet and when you fall you get covered in muck. I like playing matches but I prefer the matchs at home because you don’t have to get up earlier and drive far. Although we tackle each other we still are a team.
