English and Theme
At school, in English we are doing adverts. An advert is something that makes you want to by/use something or someone. We are really enjoying this subject because we get to listen, watch and look at adverts during classes. We have also been doing persuasive language. Persuasive language is a form of language that draws you in- makes you want that thing that they are persuading you to get. In theme we are doing the ancient egyptians; They built the ancient pyramids, the sphinxs and many different temples and buildings as well. The phone i am using at the moment is a blackberry curve 8520 its one of the old ones…it has bbm ‘blackberry messenger’… bbm is like msn but on your phone its a cheaper way to chat with the friends and you are always online! also on the phone it has a camera (3.2 megapixels), internet, games, video camera, voice recorder and much more. the only bad thing about blackberrys is that the battery drains so quickly because it has so much stored onto it! i have to charge my phone twice a day!

My school day
At 7 or 7:20am I get up and go for breakfast, I am very tired but I manage it. I then go back upstairs and have my shower. I usually stay in there for about 10 minutes or mabye more. I then get out and get dressed for school and leave at about 25 to 9 am. I get myself ready but my mum puts my hair in a ponytail. I walk or get driven to school in the morning. For the last few mornings I have been walking, as my fathers eletric scooter is off the road (Exuast came off). I really want it to get fixed as we only get the car once a week a, Thursday ( Me and my mum look after a baby.

gym is evil
Today i woke up with no feeling to go to school. I thought it wasnt any different than any week day. I was really nervous and scared because im husky and with asma and in my schools gym we have a really big test that is to run 38 laps and i hate it. I finished it and me and my freinds were totally exhausted. I was cauhing so hard it was like screaming into a megaphone. There is only one thing that was good because i beat my time although my new time is still bad my old time was worse.

I am Niki,I am 8 years old and I just discovered we have snow twice a year. Because you see now it is February and it’s 2012 so then, it’s going to snow again in December.Well, that means extra fun for the young ones.
It would be better if it snowed all the time, every day,every min,every hour etc.
To me snow is magical because it glitters’ in the night and in the morning and its puffy just like fur.
It also looks so fun to play with and make snow angels.

That extra day!!
As usual my morning is always manic, getiing 3 children up and ready for school, doing breakfast, tidying up, packing lunchboxes!!! Ground hog day!! Then its the manic rush to get the kids to school whereby i regualary experience episodes of road rage as i comment on other peoples driving skills!! Wonder what people say about mine – lol. They were saying on the radio this morning that today is the day that women can propose to men. I actually proposed to my husband but didnt do it in a leap year – just when i thought the time was right!! Any back to work life – Work is always different every day, I NEVER know what to expect. I work as a teaching assistant in a secondatry school (11-16). I help assist students with their learning and this brings lots of challenges but also some fantastic moments and some great laughs.- i actually really enjoy my job. I have a training session after school where we are going to learn about how to help the students that are from lower income families and people on free school meals – research shows that students who receive free school meals are oftern underachiebers and we are trying to close the gap between them and those not on FSM. Should be interesting to hear how they think this can be done.!!!

Hi people,
I am Andrei and I am 9 years old.I am from Bucharest,Romania.The next Tuesday I will take scuba diving lessons.I have to read 191 pages about scuba diving.I will have a test to see if I know.I will use a mask and an oxygen tube.I think that will be cool.My dad also will go with me because he want’s to do scuba diving, too.I will dive up to 4 meters.The divers that get in the ocean have to use signs to see if they are O.K.When divers get out from the sea or from the ocean they have to clean their oxygen tube because the salt destroys them.They also have to be careful at the sharks when they are in the ocean.They use a cage when there are many sharks so they can be protected from bad animals that live in there.
