Wow! Leap year is so cool! I couldn’t imagine having a birthday on leap day. You could only have a real birthday every four years! Then you couldn’t get a drivers license or things like that. I find leap year very intriguing, I never knew that there are 365.25 days per year. I wonder what would happen if we didn’t have leap day….. Would we have to have any extra .25 day every year? I also wonder the stars would look like if we didn’t have a leap year.

Cooking in the future
In 20 years time i think the technology will have changed and the world will be different. I think the schools will have changed massivly, they will have computers instead of paper so they can type. The cars will be different styles and all strange colours. The houses will have stairlifts instead of stairs, all decorated and cozy. In 2032 I will be 30 and hopefully be living near my family. In 20 years time I will be a chef. I will have 3 healthy happy children. My clothes will be all stylish and there will be new fashions. I will be eating delicious food.

What day is it today!
Oh no I forgot Iam going to my chior tonight!!I am going to be late and I need to go home and get changed and get something to eat and get something to drink.Oh Oh I am going to be late now I really need to go.The next day my mom said “come on dear you need to go to chior.” I ran to the hall. There was no one there. The poster on the wall clearly said choir practice 1st March. I went home. ” Oh no” its a leap year” said my Mum. Ooops!

why I think dancing is fun
I think that dancing is fun and exiting. Although I used to go to dancing and now I don’t I just prance around the room like a clown! Now my sisters just say that I am being silly. But in my dreams I pretend that I am a ballerina in a show in front of millions of people and when the music starts I am doing leaps around the stage. Dancing is interesting and, is sometimes a bit tricky. I also like hip pop dancing, jazz dancing, tap dancing, street dancing and modern dancing I think all of them are very fun. If you study them you might find them very interesting and fun. My sisters just find it amusing. That’s why I think dancing is fun and of course amazing!

Just another day?
Today I was going to blog about what I had done at work, but sadly, I am off work sick – so I will be pretty much sitting at home in my pjs, popping cold remedy tablets and hoping I am better tomorrow!
I will instead give you a run down of what I should have been doing today!
I work for a charity – The National Trust (We look after historic buildings and important coastline and countryside so it can be enjoyed forever, for everyone). I am the Custodian of The Needles Battery, a Victorian fort on the Isle of Wight overlooking the famous Needles Rocks.
This time of year is very busy for us as we are opening for the 2012 season in 17 days. There is lots of last minute jobs to make sure the site is spick and span for the visitors to come and enjoy. I have just finished a new exhibition about what life was like for the soldiers based at the Battery in the Second World War. It is a great part of my job when I hear what people think of the exhibitions that we make. It is a real honour to be able to tell the stories of people who were a part of the Battery.
I also give guided tours of the site to lots of people including about 3000 school children each year.
On my to do list today was to paint the front gates of the site, it is always important to give a good first impression! One of our volunteers , Sid would be there to help me. I would also have been updating our twitter account @needlesbattery with what is going on. I probably would have also answered a few emails and perhaps a bit of paperwork relating to our tearoom. Including looking at some new recipes for cakes to try out!
Some National Trust staff are using the Leap day to give back to their local community by volunteering their time on leap day to do community projects. As we are so busy just now we’ll be doing our leap day volunteering later on in the year by doing a beach clean, at one of our local beaches.
Anyway, as you know, I am not doing any of that today, but I hopefully will be doing it tomorrow instead!

Today is the Day My Friend Turns 12 or Should I Say 3?
Today is the day my friend turns 12 but she is actually 3. How is this possible? Well, my friend was born on leap year! She is very smart, and funny, and sometimes she can act like a 2 – year old! She is my best friend, and even though she is on the wacko side sometimes she is the nicest person you will ever meet! I love it when she makes funny jokes and when she always makes this chipmunk face, I don’t know why though. We play soccer together, and she is really good at it. She is very pretty and I wish her…… Happy 12th Birthday or should I say 3rd Birthday!?
