On this extra day, my youngest daughter caught the flue! Her fever is going trough the roof. No other option but to take her to the office with me. No prolem, I am all alone, since most of my coworkers are at home with a flue!

Hope to take a shower today
While writing this I’m waiting for the plumber that will repare the boiler in my home. Due to a bad installation some months ago, I’m without heating and warm water since almost 3 weeks now. It’s an interesting experience: one adapts to colder ambient temperature quiet easily (and luckily I have good hiking clothes that keep me warm) and I realise that it is maybe a good idea not to take a shower every day (for ecologic reasons). But I’m glad anyway that the problem will be solved (hopefully) today so that in the future the more ecologic way of life may become a choice.
So that’s my 29th of february of today. I know, it’s nothing special & people all over the world are certainly confronted with real problems of life …

about leaps and stories
Today is leap-day, leap year and my hubby and me are taking a leap by selling our house and not being sure yet were we will go. Lots of people think we’re mad. But we’re taking the leap and have faith that it will work out. The estate agent has been round t take pictures, so it will be online soon.
Besides these plans I was busy preparing for a special event tomorrow. The company I’m part of organises the new year reception on the first of March as this was the new year according to a previous calender, Gregorian or Julian, not sure now. But it one of those that introduced the leap day too.
The theme of tomorrow is story-telling. As I create story bowls from porcelain for a living when I’m not working for the company; I offered to create some story bowls for tomorrow to give to the guest. The invitations were send on special days, with a reminder today on leap day. I created a bowl about the story for each day, 6 in total, the last about leap day. I’m really happy how it turned out. I finished it today and until today I was not sure what the result would be. I had removed a slice from the bowl when still wet and put holes on each side. the idea was to fill this slice up with something and today I knew the perfect infill and old interior of a watch. It still runs and its woven into the bowl now, to keep it together, fill the missing slice, just as leap-day keeps time together.
It all comes together somehow, leaps everywhere. Happy leap-day!

Sadness
I’m thinking why the humans do not want (new) rules implemented. Rules that would ensure a better world. Rules of corporate governance in politics, for example. And I feel sad. Because no-one here will express this idea.
