My Extra Day
If I had an extra day to do anything I wanted I would read my favorite books. I would read mystery,fantasy,fiction,non-fiction, and adventure books. I would want to read these books so I can get my AR points I need to finish for this 9 weeks. I also want to read dictionarys so I can understand some words I don’t know. I would read any book I would want to read since that is what I want to do if I was granted an extra day.

Manicle teacher
Today my form teacher got so stressed out by some year 10′s who had moved his desk the tables the bookshelves and the books at lunch. A supply teacher took our register and told us he didnt think it was us then our form tutor got so stressed out as it took him 40 mins to reorganise the class.
The person next to me is called Karnel and I hate him although he does support liverpool.Ha way cardif fans you lost but lets face it you were never going to win against us. I was offered tickets on my fan card but as it was my dads bday i had to stick to bbc hd i recorded it as well but as it was in hd it took up 19 hours so i had to delete it and watch arsenal thrash tottenham. One of my other friends is called theo and the only thing he can do is shuffle cards.

My day
Hi I’m Josh and I’m at dr challoners grammar school in amersham and today we had a good set of lessons our first lesson was history but I was at this writing Thingy. Our second lesson was maths which I ripped my trousers in a few weeks back trying to pick up my pen my mum has stitched them up now but I’m still a bit worried they are going to rip again. Our third lesson was geogers which was good we learnt about water issues which was interesting I then had lunch which was delish I had a burger a piece of pizza a brownie cookie and a fizzy drink I then went to the house humanities competition with two other mates called ed and Peter as a house we came fourth which was pretty I had a good time in science and Did pretty well I my test and that was my day

I’m at school in an English lesson and we need to write a blog. I’m writing one on my teacher Mr NotToMention. He got very angry because someone rearranged the desks in his classroom yesterday. I have to say it was very beautiful though. Then he told us today when he returned at 6.40am he sat at his desk of which was at a ’90 degree’ angle.

And the story is complete
The junior department in the school i work at were set the challenge to write a story in the day. Year 1 wrote the first part passed onto year 2 and so on thro the day until…. They produced this story. They will now use thier ICT lessons to trun it into an illustrated book. Enjoy…
The Ghost’s Doom
Once upon a time there was a cat in the dark wood and he was running around scared. While he was running he saw a scary ghost,
it was tall, big and white like snow. The ghost howled at him. Charlie, the cat, remembered he was a secret agent and he had to be brave and strong. SO…
He began to run through the dark woodland towards what appeared to be a bubbling swamp. The smell was like rotten eggs and smelly socks with steam rising upwards.
Charlie lost his balance and fell head first holding his nose tightly. The swamp let him into a magical land. There was a huge silver fridge door, Charlie opened the door and to his suprise he could see the entrance to a laboratory. He recognised a voice coming from the next room, so he began to investigate, ” is anyone there” ? and suddendly a voice cried out “is that you Charlie? its me agent 006″ ……………….
“It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you 006. Does this mean we have another mystery to solve?”
“Yes,” explained 006. “I have just received a letter from our old friend Bob. He is in trouble and we have to rescue him! He has been kidnapped!”
Charlie replied, “Maybe it was the scary ghost I saw in the dark wood”
Charlie and 006 went over to the trackometer in the laboratory and typed in Bob’s name in code. Immediately, the machine told them where Bob was. He was in a haunted castle where the ghost lived. Charlie and 006 scooped up the trackometer, sat nav, first aid box (super pack), walkie talkies and tuna sandwiches for Charlie and egg mayonnaise sandwiches for 006 (his favourite). They jumped onto their firebolt 2000 and zoomed towards the haunted castle, excited and a little nervous….
The broomstick whizzed through the air, they zoomed so quickly that a trail of tuna sandwiches flew out from behind them. As they approached the haunted castle they saw great clouds of vampire bats circling above them. The walls of the castle were covered in a green, foul smelling slime. Charlie and 006 landed with a thump on the roof of the castle and began to slide awkwardly down onto the ledge, next to an open window.
Charlie and 006 climbed cautiously through the open window, but as they did so Charlie’s jumper caught on to the catch and the window closed behind them. How were they going to escape? In front of them lay a trap door, they opened the door and rolled down a flight of stairs, landing in a heap at the bottom. To the left of them they noticed a room. At the same time the trackometer started to beep. Charlie glanced at the machine and realised that Bob was very close to them. Charlie and 006 were acting bravely ,but feeling extremely anxious at the same time. They reached for the handle of the wooden door in front of them and …….
Opened it! There infront of their eyes they saw Bob. He was sitting crouched up in a little ball in the corner of a cage and large tear drops were trickling down his sad little cheeks. “Bob we are so glad to see you. Are you ok?” But Bob could not speak. Charlie and 006 realised that the ghost had put a spell on Bob and he was unable to speak. “Oh Bob, you poor thing. How can we get you out of this horrible cage?” Bob jumped up and started to point towards a slimy, sticky cupboard. Charlie and 006 ran towards the cupboard and quickly flung open the door. Inside the slimy, sticky cupboard there was a gorgeous, sparkly box and inside the gorgeous, sparkly box there was a shiny, glowing, glimmering key. 006 snatched the key and opened the cage. Just as the cage door sprang open Bob’s voice came back. “Thank you so much you two,” said Bob, “I never thought I would escape.” As the three friends ran towards the door, the ghost came back in a flash………….
There was something about the ghost that Charlie didn’t like; its eyes looked like somebody he’d seen before, someone from another mission. Instantly he felt that there was an object that could help him. Charlie reached for his trusty rucksack and delved to the bottom to find his First Aid kit. Having attended First Aid Club, he realised that the bandages would come in handy one day! Just as the ghost was reaching for Bob again, Charlie crept towards the ghost and zoomed around him.
“Round and round and round and round and round,” he sang as he mummified the ghost. He pushed him into the small cage and locked it tightly. The ghost started singing, “Somebody help me please” in a wobbly voice.
Bob quickly snatched a fragment of a very precious stone from the top of the gorgeous, sparkly box. “We need this stone to help us survive,” he commented. They rushed up the steps to the trapdoor and came to the room where the window was closed.
“How can we escape?” said 006.
“We could try the satnav to find an alternative route!” miaowed Charlie. Charlie selected ‘Home’ on the satnav. Once it had found it’s signal, it showed that there was another way out of the castle. They plugged the satnav into the Firebolt 2000 and said “We’re freeeeeee!”
The bats began to whirl around them. “Quick, do something!” shrieked Charlie. 006 reached into the handy rucksack and threw his precious egg mayo sandwiches to the bats. The bats greedily ate them.
“Oh no, the satnav’s not working! What will we do now?” moaned Bob, who just wanted to get home.
Then Charlie smelt his favourite tuna sandwiches. Tuna sandwiches were not the bats’ favourites and so they were lying on the ground still. “Follow the sandwiches!” screeched Charlie.
Moments later they were safe in the laboratory. “Thank you – I think we lost them!” sighed Bob.
006 said “Another mystery is solved – Charlie you can go home now . . until the next mission.” He opened the fridge in the laboratory and crossed through the passway, where he ended up in the swamp again.
Back at the woods he heaved a sigh of relief and reflected on the mission. “Friendship will help you climb any mountain,” he thought.

Wow!
Wow! Leap year is so cool! I couldn’t imagine having a birthday on leap day. You could only have a real birthday every four years! Then you couldn’t get a drivers license or things like that. I find leap year very intriguing, I never knew that there are 365.25 days per year. I wonder what would happen if we didn’t have leap day….. Would we have to have any extra .25 day every year? I also wonder the stars would look like if we didn’t have a leap year.

A unforgetable Trip !
As Jose arrived to the Bahammas.He yelled out to the air ” I’m here, I’m here ! “Everyone looked at him and seemed as they didn’t care. Jose had a splendled time at the Bahammas. He rented a room in there hotel and went on rides! But jose felt trouble because he had no more money to pay for his food. Jose tried everythinq , so he could to stay there. He even tried to work in the hotel but they rejected him. And he had no choice but to go bact to New Jersey. Jose packed his bags and sneaked into the airport and landed back from where he came from!

Year 6 explanations
After that, we have the opportunity to go down to the dinning hall for toast club, if you wish. It lasts for 10 minutes, you can sit with your friends from other classes and it doesn’t cost anything. Toast club helps you focus in the next lesson because you have a later dinner so you don’t get hungry later in the lesson.
Before lunch you can go outside for 10 minutes for a break where you can play with your friends or sit around in the gazebo. You need a break so that you are ready for the next lesson and so you don’t have to rush around.
After lunch you are ready for your first booster classes. You have the choice of time, times table, protractors, calculators and calculations. If you find this work hard, teachers come and help you. At half past one, you change for your second booster class for another half an hour. You have the same choices as last time, but you can’t choose the one you’ve already been to. Because of these booster classes, this will help you achieve your target of level 4 in your maths.
At 2 o’clock, after your booster lessons, you will have a rest from learning by doing such fun activities as: art, volunteering (in the office, foundation stage or Year 3), ICT, outdoor or cooking. You are put into groups of 15 but still you are with some of your friends. If you have broken one of the school rules or core values, you will miss 10 minutes of your activity.
Year 6 is a fun year, there’s no need to be dreading it, however you do have to work hard and persevere. Good luck!

Hello!!! I am from Clontuskert National School in Ireland. We are a small school in the countryside. There are only 40 pupils in our school. There are 2 classrooms.
We are involved in many projects but my favourite is the First Lego League. This is a project about technology and food. Our project is about meat, meat production and preservation. We were looking at meat and we found out about nitrates. Nitrates are preservatives injected into meat to help it to stay fresh. But the problem comes when you cook the meat. The nitrates turn into nitrosium which can be harmful to you. We tried ringing shops to ask them to promote fruit and vegetables. Fruit and vegetables have polyphenols in them fight against illness.
But there is another side to it : technology. We had to build a robot and program the robot to do tasks. We had to go to Dublin for the Crest Science Awards after the FLL competition and we had explained our project to the judges. With the robot we had to do as many tasks as we could in three minutes. We came 21st, but we were one of only 4 primary schools in the competition. We hope to do more projects in the future. To see our other projects read our blog at www.clontuskert.scoilnet.ie.

Clontuskert National School
Hey!
Today is a great day here in Clontuskert and were all excited about it.
The 29th February is going to be a great day. Here in Clontuskert we are so busy with our own blog and all our projects, here are some of the projects we are doing : Peace Proms, Eircom Junior Spiders awards, Jr FLL, FLL, Keep on Track and Greenwave. So as you can see are very busy.
I also love Clontuskert. It’s great and I’m so excited about this blog. I really love art and I really enjoy it and I also always have good fun with my sister. Here are some of my pastimes : kayaking and playing music. My little sister is a bit mad but she’s great fun and so are my parents and all my friends. My Average school Day
Today my class had to go to the other year six class because our teacher had to do something. We started of learning about victorian houses then we pretend to be estate agents from victorian times. My morning
Today I was fast assleep and my younger brother Cameron ran into my room and he let out a big scream and woke me up I jumped out of my bed and I thought it was a cat but it was my brother in a cat costume. the horror of the missing people
The horror of the missing people.

It was about midday and lots of dark clouds where looming over head; Ethan, Nick and Luke where going to Tom’s house for a sleepover.
Tom was telling his friends that people where going missing, and how the government where sending out the police to find out what was happening to the missing people, and who was behind it.
“What should we do? Because I’m getting bored,” Nick moaned
“I know lets go to the park,” Tom replied.
“I’ll get the sport equipment,” Luke shouted.
When they got to the park, they started marking out a football pitch as they were doing that they heard a scream, they rushed over to see what was happening. But when they got there no one or nothing was there. Very strange things were happening, and what made it scary was that it was all happening around them! So they decided to go back to Tom’s house.
When they got back to Tom’s house they realised that it could have been another missing person. “How stupid are we!” Ethan frustratedly shouted.
“Come on then let’s all go back to the park to investigate!” Luke excitedly shouted.
After sneaking out of the house the four boys ran to the park. As soon as they got to the park they ran to the place where they heard the noisiest scream ever. They searched and searched, but they found nothing except some tyre tracks. Unfortunately for them they had no choice but to follow them. It felt like they had been walking forever. Eventually, they found where the tyre tracks had come. It had come from an old hotel, which nobody uses anymore. The tyre tracks were from the Ice Cream van, they thought it couldn’t be the nice man who gave them ice cream every day. They broke the door down, they checked every single room but nobody was in any of them.
“This can’t be the right place”, Nick moaned yet again.
“They could be in the attic,” Ethan exclaimed.
“Come on then!” Tom screamed.
As they made their way up the ladder, they heard an evil laugh.
“They don’t know we are here. RIGHT! You have got your Iphone, haven’t you Tom? So we can just call 999 right now,” Luke declared.
The police came in an instant. They got all the missing people back. As well as arresting the man who caused all the trouble. As for the boys, they were just simply heroes!

Happy Leap Year
At school today we had an assembly about getting on and falling out. Then we had a maths lesson about reading frequency scales and the probability of things happening. At playtime we played tig and hide and seek. During literacy we read a poem called Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll a famous Victorian author. For lunch we had shepherds pie if we were school dinners. This afternoon we practised our times tables, then we finding out about the lives of Victorian children. Finally before hometime we talked about leap years and wrote on this blog!

Year 6 explanations
After that, we have the opportunity to go down to the dinning hall for toast club, if you wish. It lasts for 10 minutes, you can sit with your friends from other classes and it doesn’t cost anything. Toast club helps you focus in the next lesson because you have a later dinner so you don’t get hungry later in the lesson.
Before lunch you can go outside for 10 minutes for a break where you can play with your friends or sit around in the gazebo. You need a break so that you are ready for the next lesson and so you don’t have to rush around.
After lunch you are ready for your first booster classes. You have the choice of time, times table, protractors, calculators and calculations. If you find this work hard, teachers come and help you. At half past one, you change for your second booster class for another half an hour. You have the same choices as last time, but you can’t choose the one you’ve already been to. Because of these booster classes, this will help you achieve your target of level 4 in your maths.
At 2 o’clock, after your booster lessons, you will have a rest from learning by doing such fun activities as: art, volunteering (in the office, foundation stage or Year 3), ICT, outdoor or cooking. You are put into groups of 15 but still you are with some of your friends. If you have broken one of the school rules or core values, you will miss 10 minutes of your activity.
Year 6 is a fun year, there’s no need to be dreading it, however you do have to work hard and persevere. Good luck!

Hey you better read this!
Leaping in and out the dense foliage; the midnight black puma silently cavorts across the clawed dirt grounds. Hastily pouncing to it’s prey, trapping the struggling beast inside it’s 6ft long body. Continuously ravaging the dying creature; soon its mournful schreeching stops. Thick melancholy silences follows shortly it was dead. Satisfied with its pitiful meal the puma stands up. Further it prowls.
Deeper inside the winding jungle it hunts. Checking every crevice for it’s next meal. Rustling is heard. Whipping it’s head round 180 degrees; the puma’s eyes narrow in recognition, while it’s two foot tail slithers in all directions softly lapping the air. An ebony flash, quivering limbs spazing wildly, this way and that, right and left. lingering metallic smell of blood. All is now still….

TESTS!!!:(
All morning been doing boring maths tests and mental maths tests while other children have been prepering things for world book day and i’m stuck doing test but did ok though.Yesterday I did cross country at knayton I could bearly move this morning but didn’t do the best i could i felt sick and got a stich.Doing netball to night exited because it came back on again.Tommow is world book day coming as Eve Erigold out of the dark touch novels looking forward to that and going to be playing games most of the afternoon.In our class we have a pet called pip she’s a hamster and one of my friends is wrting a blog about her.Enjoying the day hope everyone else is to!!:)
