Life here around this time of year is cold. Sometimes it even snows! Today’s a rainy day so everone has on their sneakers. What’s the weather like where you live?Anyway, the school year isn’t over yet, but kids are already excited for summer. It’s a good thing we get a week off in spring! In school, we have these tests at the end of the year called SOL (Standards Of Learning) tests in each subject to see how well we learned. It’s on everything we’ve learned since the 1st grade! In high school, if you fail an SOL, you’re not allowed to graduate or have to repeat the grade.Do you have tests like that where you live? Thankfully, I’m not in high school yet, but I will be in two years. The most annoying thing about school is that it starts at 7:30 and ends at 2:30. If you want to catch the bus to school, then you have to get up at 5:25 or earlier everyday. It’s kind of like going to work in the morning, but for seven hours with a 30 minute lunch break. We also have physical education (P.E)class everyday and have to wear these very unflattering uniforms or we get sent to ISA (In School Assitance), which is detention. Do have P.E where you live? Do you have to wear P.E. uniforms too? And that’s what school life is like in my neck of the woods!
