Sailing along the beautiful bay,
Land of blue no longer grey,
Gliding through in the midst of May,
Sailing along the beautiful bay.
My face gets whipped with angry wind,
I gripped the tiller and happily grinned,
The sail was up, that I had unpinned,
My face gets whipped with angry wind.
Salty water sprays my lips,
I drink in the view in tiny sips,
On the calm waters we eat fish and chips,
Salty water sprays my lips.
Roaring waves curl above us,
Thrashing, crashing, making a fuss,
Watching giant, diving huss,
Roaring waves curl above us.
A watercolour sunset we slide towards,
Our sleek ship cuts the ocean like swords,
We approach the jetty, away from the sea lords,
A watercolour sunset we slide towards.
People wave as we pass by,
Screeching seagulls circle the sky,
The water rises as the heavens cry,
People wave as we pass by.
It will always be my leisure,
The alluring sea is my pleasure,
I will love it for ever and ever,
It will always be my leisure.
I love sailing.

What a lovely poem. I could really feel as if I was there. You used all your senses. Very well done. I love it.
